Staff members prepare for an upcoming cancer outreach visit.
“I would like to thank all individuals and organizations that make it possible for me to have a free mammogram. Being uninsured, medical care is an anxiety-ridden experience for me.
I have had two screenings through this service and must say that I am one grateful and satisfied patient. So to all of you who have anything to do with this program, many blessings…for I am truly blessed to have learned about you.”

How are the funds from BUDDY'S Race Against Cancer used?
Money from the BUDDY'S Race Against Cancer allows Thompson Cancer Survival Center to provide cancer services to communities with big needs and little opportunities. For nearly two decades, TCSC has delivered much-needed cancer screenings and education to thousands of medically-underserved individuals in East Tennessee through its Cancer Outreach program.
Mobile mammography, as well as prostate and cervical cancer screenings and education are provided to the individuals in communities throughout the area who have never received - or could afford - these potentially life-saving services.
Money from the race is collected by individuals and teams through participation and fundraising, and raised through grants, as well as corporate and individual sponsorships. This year's goal is $432,000.
